After flying high against the Rio Grande City Rattlers last Friday, The Rowe Warriors came back down to earth. Rowe fell just short of McAllen by a score of 9-6. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, Rowe couldn't push the score so high this time.
Eli Garza threw for 60 yards on six of 16 attempts. Sammy Femat was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards.
Rowe now has a losing record at 4-5. As for McAllen, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Rowe will head out on the road to face off against Vela at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Vela's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for McAllen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McAllen Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
