Treutlen hadn't done well against McIntosh County Academy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Vikings didn't even let the Buccaneers on the board, marking the Vikings' second-straight 12-0 shutout. Considering the Vikings have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ella Roberson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Taylor Gillis was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruthie Blair, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Treutlen hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matches.

Treutlen's record is now 13-3. As for McIntosh County Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

Treutlen will take on Wilcox County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McIntosh County Academy, they will face off against Claxton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
