Softball Game Preview: DeRidder Dragons vs. Washington-Marion Charging Indians

DeRidder is 8-2 against Washington-Marion since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Dragons will host the Charging Indians at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

DeRidder lost 10-3 to St. Louis Catholic on Monday. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Demi Burks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Hailey Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Washington-Marion fell victim to Leesville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Wampus Cats, falling 15-0. The Charging Indians' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Washington-Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for DeRidder, their loss dropped their record down to 12-16.

DeRidder took their victory against Washington-Marion when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 22-3 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Charging Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
