If the Magnolia Sentinels were riding high off their 56-35 takedown of the Century Centurions last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Magnolia had to suffer through a rough 85-54 loss at the hands of Savanna. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Magnolia has suffered since December 8, 2023.
Savanna got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was James Lee out in front who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Paul Henderson, who scored 21 points along with four steals.
Magnolia has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Savanna, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.
Magnolia will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Western at 6:00 p.m. As for Savanna, they will head out on the road to face off against Century at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Century will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
