Fans got a thrill when Jordan Jefferson and David Dyer connected against Cumberland. The connection went for 65 yards, the longest such play in 2A Conference 34 this season.
Brunswick extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Sussex Central, 42-6. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
Goochland's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jefferson threw for 113 and 2 touchdowns and Dyer had 65 yards receiving. On the ground Taivon Fox contributed 78 yards. Joe Cutchins helped Goochland's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 48 yards.

Trey Watson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Bluestone beat Prince Edward County. He completed 5 passes for 83 yards and also ran for 73 yards. Watson's favorite target this week was Nathen Finch, who caught 3 passes for 58 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Reid Chenault and Dyer, Goochland has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Chenault leads the league in passing with 666 yards, while Dyer has rushed for 633 yards this season. Nottoway's Shalik Brown leads the league in receiving yards with 244 on 9 catches.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Joe Fowler's team and the Eagles face off next week.
The Bulldogs are currently in first, while Prince Edward County is in sixth.
The Barons and James Ford's team played the closest game in 2A Conference 34 this week, with the Barons eventually emerging with a 24-21 victory. Watson ran for 73 yards during the win.
