The New Prairie Cougars will face off against the LaVille Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Prairie has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 23.
New Prairie is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Knox on Saturday.

The losing side was boosted by Nevaeh Trobaugh, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 15 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Those four steals gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Deutscher, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.
Even though they lost, New Prairie was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Culver Academies typically has all the answers at home, but last Friday LaVille proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 48-35 victory over the Eagles.
New Prairie better keep an eye on Brooke Edison. She was instrumental in LaVille's win, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Edison has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 34 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mackena Deason, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 15 points.
LaVille has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.1 points per game. As for New Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: New Prairie has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.1 boards per game. However, it's not like LaVille struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
