Softball Recap: Beachside Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Beachside, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-9 victory over the Interlachen Rams on Wednesday. The Barracudas haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Beachside let Mallie Meadows and Lily Jurgens run wild. Meadows scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Jurgens scored four runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, Meadows posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tatum Pocol, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Beachside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Interlachen only posted a batting average of .259.

Beachside's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Interlachen, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Beachside will square off against Bartram Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Interlachen, they will challenge P.K. Yonge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Wave have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
