Britton-Macon/Deerfield moved up to 164 from 212 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Tri-County. The Patriots were able to make move up by defeating Dansville 32-2.
Britton-Macon/Deerfield extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Aggies, 32-2. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
The Patriots' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nate Hoffman threw for 62 and two touchdowns and Tristan Pizana had 21 yards receiving. On the ground Leighton Merritt chipped in 160 yards. Tommy Garner helped Britton-Macon/Deerfield's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
Clinton's TJ Baker and Mathew Sexton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Baker has thrown for 1197 yards this season, while Sexton, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 13 catches for 367 yards. Merritt from Britton-Macon/Deerfield leads the league in rushing with 1765 yards.
The Patriots took down Dansville 32-2 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hoffman ran for 70 yards in the win.
