North Surry's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They strolled past the Surry Central Golden Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 53-35. This was a revenge game for the Greyhounds: when they faced off against the Golden Eagles last Wednesday, they had to take a 46-35 loss.

North Surry's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Surry Central, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 15-8.

Looking ahead, North Surry won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Wilkes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Wilkes knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully North Surry likes a good challenge. Surry Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
