The Lamar Silver Foxes were the 40-30 winner over the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders when they last played one another on January 11th, but their luck changed this time around. Lamar took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hannah-Pamplico. Lamar has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lamar lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Xavier "Zoom" Jackson, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nygel Eaddy, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Hannah-Pamplico's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tylin Jenkins, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Shamar Eaddy, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Lamar dropped their record down to 4-14 with that loss, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hannah-Pamplico, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Latta the next time they take the court. Hannah-Pamplico will host Latta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lamar will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
