Having just played yesterday, the Macon County Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the White House Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Macon County has struggled recently with nine defeats in a row, while White House will arrive with six straight victories.
Macon County pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Clay County by a score of 57-55.
Meanwhile, White House's game on Tuesday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 71-62 victory over Portland. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
White House got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Louis Taylor out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Worrell, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine assists.
Macon County's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16. As for White House, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Macon County came up short against White House when the teams last played back in January, falling 70-66. Can Macon County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
