The Capital Prep Harbor Sharks pushed their score all the way to 74 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 85-74 to Varsity Opponent. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (61), Capital Prep Harbor still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Capital Prep Harbor still got an impressive performance from Jacob Henderson, who scored 36 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Henderson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Edward Williams was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for Capital Prep Harbor and nudges their season record down to 13-3. As for Varsity Opponent, their victory ended a 11-game drought at home and bumped them up to 273-1034-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capital Prep Harbor on the road again on Sunday and play against Capital Prep at 4:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Varsity Opponent, they will challenge Bible Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
