The Ridgemont Golden Gophers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-36 walloping at the hands of Ada. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Ridgemont has suffered since December 7, 2023.
Despite the defeat, Ridgemont saw an underclassman step up: Anna Ramsey scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Laney Elsasser, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Ridgemont's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Ada, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Ridgemont will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hardin Northern at 6:00 p.m. Hardin Northern has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21. As for Ada, they will head out on the road to challenge Upper Scioto Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
