Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Longview's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Royse City came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Longview, but Demarion Williams wouldn't allow it. The Longview Lobos managed a 63-58 victory over the Royse City Bulldogs on Saturday thanks in part to Williams, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Longview's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffery Smith, who posted 11 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Longview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Royse City, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Rockwall the next time they take the court. Royse City will head out to face Rockwall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Longview will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
