Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Wayne South Side). They never let the Fort Wayne North Side Legends get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Archers, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Cameron Culver made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Fort Wayne South Side is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-7 otherwise. Culver was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Fort Wayne South Side got a massive performance out of Adrian Belch - Watson, who went 3-for-4 with four runs and two stolen bases. Belch - Watson has become a key player for the Archers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Drew Pancake, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Fort Wayne South Side hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Wayne North Side struck out ten times.

Fort Wayne South Side pushed their record up to 4-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.7 runs over those games. As for Fort Wayne North Side, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
