Basketball Game Preview: Christian Family Academy Fire vs. Nebo Crossing Academy Bulldogs

The Christian Family Academy Fire will venture away from home to challenge the Nebo Crossing Academy Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Family Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Nebo Crossing Academy likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Christian Family Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Community Christian Academy, but they still walked away with a 67-63 victory.

Christian Family Academy can attribute much of their success to Zeke Johnson, who went 11-for-21 en route to 28 points, and Toby Marsh, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 22 rebounds. With that strong performance, Marsh is now averaging an impressive 8.6 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Noah Danley, who posted six points and 12 rebounds.

Christian Family Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 14 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Nebo Crossing Academy lost a heartbreaker to Community Christian Academy when they met back in December of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. The Bulldogs took a blow against the Warriors, falling 77-44. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Christian Family Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Nebo Crossing Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Christian Family Academy against Nebo Crossing Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 71-32 victory.
