Gilmer has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Trion Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
The matchup between Gilmer and Fannin County on Monday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Gilmer was the clear victor by a 11-2 margin over Fannin County. Yenifer Lopez-Bautista was a massive factor in the win, as she booted in six goals all by herself.
Meanwhile, Trion got the win against LaFayette on Thursday by a conclusive 4-1.
Gilmer's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Trion, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Everything went Gilmer's way against Trion in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 as Gilmer made off with a 8-0 win. Does Gilmer have another victory up their sleeve, or will Trion turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
