The Harvest Christian Academy Saints scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 81-27 victory over Lakewood Presbyterian at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Harvest Christian Academy as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
Leading Harvest Christian Academy to victory were Elijah Cleary and Andy Cumbest. Cleary scored 23 points, while Cumbest scored 25 points. Logan Harrington was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Harvest Christian Academy pushed their record up to 6-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Harvest Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Trinity Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on January 13th. Trinity Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Faustina Academy at 6:00 p.m. Faustina Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Lakewood Presbyterian likes a good challenge.
