The biggest upset of the week belonged to Newark Catholic, who took down 113th ranked Licking Valley, 25-9.
The Green Wave moved up to 131 from 165 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mid-State - Ohio. Newark Catholic climbed the ranks as a result of a 25-9 win over the Panthers.
Lakewood's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alex Napier has thrown for 155 yards and one touchdown this season, while Junior King has five catches for 97 yards. Brandon Ward leads the league in rushing with 292 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Lakewood takes on Granville. The Lancers' offense has racked up 40 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Blue Aces have allowed only 74 on the year.
A big matchup in Mid-State - Ohio this week will be when Whitehall-Yearling takes on Bill Franks' team. The Rams are currently in fifth, while the Green Wave are in first.
Newark Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Licking Valley, 25-9. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
