The Central York Panthers will square off against the Northern Lebanon Vikings at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Central York is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Central York is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Cumberland Valley just ended the team's eight-game winning streak last Wednesday. They fell 6-1 to the Eagles. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central York saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Lamer, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Northern Lebanon entered their tilt with Garden Spot on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Spartans a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Northern Lebanon's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Central York, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
