Fairbury scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conestoga Cougars.

Fairbury's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Korey Nippert, who to rack up 15 points and five boards. Those 15 points gave Nippert a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brodie Prellwitz, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Fairbury's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Conestoga, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Fairbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Conestoga, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-27 loss against Lincoln Lutheran on the 25th.
