The Roosevelt Rough Riders will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the San Fernando Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on November 9th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Roosevelt rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past Wilson with a 30-24 win. The victory was just what Roosevelt needed coming off of a 49-16 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, San Fernando can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 43-6 victory over Hollywood. Winning may never get old, but San Fernando sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Fernando to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Castro, who picked up 54 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Anguiano, who rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for San Fernando, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
