Volleyball Recap: Southwestern Extends Winning Streak to Three

Southwestern entered their tilt with Rock Creek Academy on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Rebels, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Southwestern easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16.

Jenna Owens paced Southwestern's offense, picking up seven kills. Owens got some help from Hillarie Buchanan and her 11 assists. Kaylee Hite controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Southwestern's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Southwestern will be playing in front of their home fans against South Dearborn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rock Creek Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Shawe Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
