Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The El Cajon Valley Braves walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 49-6 victory over Kearny at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for El Cajon Valley as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
El Cajon Valley had a senior duo take command as Massih Ehsan rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns and Darick Dubose threw for 135 yards and two touchdowns.
El Cajon Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Kearny, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
El Cajon Valley will head out on the road to face off against Sweetwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kearny does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
