The Mountain View Mountain Lions can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 56-35 margin over Fort Morgan. Mountain View's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Mountain View to victory were Grayson Morby and Dylan Garland. Morby scored ten points, while Garland scored 19 points. Garland set a new season high mark in steals with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Amans, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Fort Morgan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Mountain View will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Berthoud at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. One thing working in Berthoud's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Fort Morgan, they will head out on the road to face off against Brush at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Brush focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Tuesday.
