This season hasn't been kind to the Central Bears, who are still winless after their 17th matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 48-11 loss at the hands of Citrus. Central has struggled against Citrus recently, as their contest on Monday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leilani White, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Central dropped their record down to 0-17 with that defeat, which was their 20th straight on the road. As for Citrus, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.
Central will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Crystal River at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Crystal River has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. As for Citrus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Springstead at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Springstead is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
