Severance is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Riverdale Ridge is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Severance Silver Knights will take on the Riverdale Ridge Ravens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Severance has not done well against Frederick recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Severance came out on top against Frederick by a score of 53-41.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Severance to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaden Hoffman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Varney, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Riverdale Ridge put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. Everything went their way against Roosevelt as Riverdale Ridge made off with a 79-57 victory. Given Riverdale Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Roosevelt is ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Severance is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Riverdale Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
