Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Argonaut's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Argonaut picked up another tournament win on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Lincoln Fighting Zebras. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

AJ Schultz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Bri Bowers was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Argonaut always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only posted an OBP of .409.

Argonaut has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Argonaut beat the Fighting Zebras by a score of 11-3 on Saturday.
