Saegertown had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cambridge Springs Devils with a sharp 17-1 victory. Considering the Panthers have won nine matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Demarcus Manning made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, Saegertown got a massive performance out of William Shaffer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Shaffer has posted since back in April of 2024. Gabe Jordan was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Saegertown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Saegertown pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Cambridge Springs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Saegertown is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakeview at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.3, the Sailors 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Cambridge Springs will take on rival Cochranton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
