The Bonita Springs Bullsharks will face off against the DeSoto County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bonita Springs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Having struggled with 11 losses in a row, Bonita Springs turned things around against South Fort Myers last Monday. They put the hurt on the Wolfpack with a sharp 23-2 win. The Bullsharks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Madelyn DeFrancesco looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Angelina Magnuson and Ariana Bandera did most of the damage at the plate: Magnuson fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3, while Bandera went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave Bandera a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Balentine, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Bonita Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.2.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for DeSoto County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Lemon Bay 6-5.
Caleigh Jo Duke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Emery Skinner was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
DeSoto County is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Bonita Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 2-14.
Bonita Springs might still be hurting after the 10-1 defeat they got from DeSoto County in their previous meeting back in February. Will the Bullsharks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
