The Bonneville Bees pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Skyline 68-63. While losing is never fun, Bonneville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Skyline is ranked 18th).
Skyline got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shay Shippen out in front who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 17 rebounds. Shippen hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Kysa Shippen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Bonneville bumped their record down to 6-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Skyline, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonneville will take on Idaho Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Skyline, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Blackfoot at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Blackfoot's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
