Lisbon extended the longest winning streak in A District 5 this week by beating WACO, 42-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Highland took down Van Buren 66-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
WACO's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ben Fear has thrown for 197 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Tyler Ayers has five catches for 91 yards. Ayers leads the league in rushing with 237 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Warriors take on Winfield-Mt. Union. WACO's offense has recorded 137 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Wolves have permitted only 287 on the year.
A big matchup in A District 5 this week will be when the Huskies take on Danville. At the moment, Highland is in fourth, while the Bears are in fifth.
Lisbon made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,604 from 7,877. The improvement was the result of 42-0 victory over Chad Edeker's team last week.
