Softball Recap: Mcewen's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but McEwen unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Stewart County Rebels, falling 7-1. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

McEwen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Lastovka, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

McEwen's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Stewart County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McEwen will face off against Houston County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fighting Irish have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Stewart County, they will square off against Clarksville Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels will need to watch out since the Centurions have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
