After a string of four wins, Sandy Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 45-27 fall against the Howells-Dodge Jaguars. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in December of 2022.

Jordyn Ratzlaff was the offensive standout of the game as she went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kenadie Throener, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 12 points.

Sandy Creek's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for Howells-Dodge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Sandy Creek will look to defend their home court on Thursday against St. Cecilia at 6:00 p.m. Howells-Dodge has already played their next match, a 52-48 win against Fort Calhoun on the 4th.
