Even though the Russellville Indians have not done well against the Linn Wildcats recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Russellville managed a 62-57 win over Linn. The victory was familiar territory for Russellville who now have three in a row.
Linn's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Craig Laughlin, who scored 11 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Laughlin has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Dudenhoeffer, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Russellville pushed their record up to 9-15 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Linn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.
Russellville will head out on the road to take on Fatima at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Linn, they will stay at home for another game and welcome St. Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th.
