Baseball Recap: Frankton Sets Scoring Season-High Against South Adams

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frankton). They blew past the South Adams Starfires 23-9 on Saturday. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Brayden Hutton looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caine Oakley, who went 4-for-6 with five RBI, three runs, and three doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Baron Dietzer, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.

Frankton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Frankton now has a winning record of 8-7. As for South Adams, their defeat was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Frankton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Taylor on the 12th. As for South Adams, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-3 loss against Woodlan on the 13th.
