Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacred Heart Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drew Wagner, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals. The contest was Wagner's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was TJ O'Brien, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, St. Ignatius College Preparatory slipped by University 75-74 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Ignatius College Preparatory.
Sacred Heart Prep's win bumped their season record to 3-1 while Sequoia's loss dropped theirs to 1-4.
Sacred Heart Prep took their victory against St. Ignatius College Preparatory in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 71-50.
