Boaz had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Maples wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Lexie Bennett, who  went 2-for-3 with one  RBI. That's the most  hits  Bennett has posted  over her last 11  contests.
 Boaz  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in 23 consecutive  matchups.
Boaz's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 25-7-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.75 runs across that stretch. As for Pisgah,  with the  defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-11.
