Whittier Christian moved up to 438 from 518 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Olympic. The Heralds were able to make move up by beating Bishop 41-20.
Heritage Christian took down Campbell Hall 66-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Angelo Garcia during the win.
Eli Snyder and Baile McDavid gave Maranatha a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Snyder threw for 321 yards and 4 touchdowns, while McDavid ran for 91 yards. Teammate Joshua Yoon added to the ground attack by rushing for 45 yards.
Snyder and McDavid gave the Minutemen a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.
McDavid was the most successful running back in the league this week.
Ryan Esslinger provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Whittier Christian topped the Broncos. He completed 28 passes for 306 yards and also ran for 60 yards. Esslinger's favorite target this week was Noah Evans, who caught 12 passes for 162 yards.
Snyder put up the best numbers through the air as Maranatha beat Bassett. Snyder's favorite target this week was Aidan Yamada, who caught 4 passes for 85 yards.
Evans was the best receiver in the league this week as Sergio Gradilla's team bested Bishop. Nick Watase helped Whittier Christian's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 74 yards.
On the heels of Snyder and McDavid, Jude Oliva's team has had great success on offense. Snyder is tops in the league in passing with 321 yards, while McDavid has rushed for 91 yards this season. The Heralds' Evans leads the league in receiving yards with 162 on 12 catches.
Whittier Christian made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,057 from 7,261. The advance stemmed from a 41-20 victory over Bill Egan's team last week.
