It was a good run, but Elmwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastwood Eagles. The Royals were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Elmwood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Eastwood, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Elmwood will face off against Bryan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Eastwood, they are taking a road trip to face off against Rossford at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
