You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds' strategy against the Portland Raiders on Friday. Eaton Rapids claimed a resounding 74-33 victory over Portland at home. That looming 41-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Greyhounds yet this season.
Eaton Rapids' offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 37 first-half points. Portland wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 37-14 heading into the break. Eaton Rapids' offense just added to that total in the second half en route to their big win.
The win was the fourth in a row for Eaton Rapids and raised their record to 13-3. The defeat dropped Portland's record to 5-12.
Eaton Rapids will stay at home against Mason on Tuesday. The Raiders will look to defend their home court next week against Charlotte. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
