After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pacific Ridge, Mission Bay was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the High Tech Mesa Thunder 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now won four in a row.

Mission Bay never let High Tech Mesa on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Kalea Anderson, who had nine assists and five aces. That's the most assists she has posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Mission Bay back to even at 1-1. As for High Tech Mesa, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Mission Bay has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Virgin Valley on the 22nd. As for High Tech Mesa, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mar Vista at 5:00 p.m. on September 9.
