Make it seven blowout wins for the Rangely Panthers this season. They blew past North Park, posting a 67-30 victory on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Rangely who now have seven in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rangely to victory, but perhaps none more so than Annika Cantrell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds. Cantrell hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Ducey, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Dezirae Gonzales and Mykenzi Ramsey certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Gonzales dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, while Ramsey scored four points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 66.7% of North Park's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Rangely's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for North Park, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Rangely will head out on the road to face off against Hayden at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hayden will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Rangely is ranked 53rd). As for North Park, North Park and Soroco will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
