The Horton Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. Their rough 52-26 defeat to Pleasant Ridge might stick with them for a while. Horton has not had much luck with Pleasant Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Pleasant Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Potter, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. It was the first time this season that Potter posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Maddie Heim, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Horton's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Pleasant Ridge, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Horton will head out on the road to square off against Jackson Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pleasant Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy.
