The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders's five-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They walked away with a 53-46 victory over Destin. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pensacola Catholic also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Maddie Hammergren, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jenecia Swindell, who scored ten points.
Pensacola Catholic's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for Destin, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pensacola Catholic will take on Bayside Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Destin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Laurel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
