After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carolina Academy, the Florence Christian Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They blew past King's Academy, posting a 68-33 victory on the road. With that victory, Florence Christian brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Dylan Greene continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Greene, who scored 12 points along with five assists and two steals.
Florence Christian's win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-16. As for King's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florence Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Pee Dee Academy at 8:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Florence Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday. As for King's Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Dillon Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dillon Christian will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something King's Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
