Sandalwood proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 17) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Mandarin. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Saints have posted since February 20th.
Parker Shuman looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Caleb Camden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Sandalwood has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wolfson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Sandalwood took their win against Wolfson when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2. Will Sandalwood repeat their success, or does Wolfson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
