The Blanchester Wildcats lost against the Georgetown G-Men back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Blanchester took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Georgetown. Blanchester has not had much luck with Georgetown recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Georgetown found their leader in underclassman Gabrielle Ernst, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Emily Bertram was another key contributor, scoring five points along with ten rebounds.
Blanchester has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Georgetown, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
Blanchester will be playing at home against Clermont Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Georgetown will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Bethel-Tate at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th.
