2A Tri-River recap September 10, 2013
Santiam was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 2A Tri-River. Earlier in the week, the Wolverines triumphed over Corbett/Corbett Charter 30-20.
Regis scaled the state rankings by moving to 58 from 91 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rams climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Gold Beach 29-8.
Waldport's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Trenton Marquart threw for 190 and 2 touchdowns and Kraig Pruett had 90 yards receiving. On the ground Pruett contributed 47 yards. Scott Kowalski helped Waldport's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 38 yards.
