Ewing is 10-0 against Hightstown since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ewing Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Hightstown Rams at 5:30 p.m. Ewing is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Sunday, Ewing was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to Red Bank Catholic. While losing is never fun, Ewing can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Red Bank Catholic is ranked fifth).
Meanwhile, Hightstown scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Monday. They blew past Middlesex, posting a 85-53 win at home. That looming 85-53 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Hightstown yet this season.
Ewing's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Hightstown, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Ewing against Hightstown when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 53-26 victory. Does Ewing have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hightstown turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
